The king of the United Auto Workers, Bob King, has once again stood firm on his view to ban nonunion vehicles from UAW property. This time though, he went a little more hands on.

"Buying a U.S./UAW vehicle makes a difference," King wrote in a two-page rebuttal to a blog post written by a Kansas City Business Journal reporter who was told to remove his Toyota Camry from a UAW parking lot.

The reporter, James Dornbrook, wrote that he was forced to move his car by a UAW member. Dornbrook also mentioned in his post that his Camry had more American-made parts than a Ford F-150.

While Dornbrook has a point, it apparently flew over the head of King, who wrote a long letter to the reporter. In it, he wrote how foreign automakers deny U.S workers the right to organize, something which the automakers deny.

"Foreign automakers accept U.S taxpayer’s dollars in incentives to build assembly plants in the United States, jeopardizing the future of middle-class workers in the domestic auto industry," King wrote.

U.S automakers employ around 300,000 workers, which is still about two-thirds of all U.S autoworkers.

We don’t encourage such drastic measures because we figure that there are far better - and less dangerous - ways to quell an argument with your wife. This man apparently had enough of his wife’s ’constant yapping’ and decided to do something about it. No, he didn’t hit her, although compared to what he did, covering her mouth with her hands would have been a good way to go. He didn’t do that either. Instead, he decided to jump out of the car his wife was driving. Seriously. He went action star on his wife.

Unfortunately, him jumping out of the car was no stunt because the man ended up in critical, but stable condition after being airlifted to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Like we said, there are far better and less dangerous ways to quell an argument. You know, like maybe, cooler heads prevailing? That usually works, like, most of the time.

Here’s something you might want to know in the event you find yourself renting a car in the future.

The Today Show ran a rather shocking investigative piece on the cleanliness - or lack thereof - of rental cars. The results of which would make even the rottenest of scums look like polished silver.

Okay, that may be an exaggeration, but we assure you, the Today Show’s piece is far from exaggerated. What they did was go to Miami - one of the biggest rental car markets in the US - and rented a number of cars ranging from sedans to minivans to SUVs. They then sent these cars to a lab where their microbiologists went through the painstaking, detailed job of swabbing every imaginable surface - from the steering wheel, to the door handles, to the power windows, and even the GPS unit.

The results of the findings can be described in one matter-of-fact statement the voice-over made that sent shivers down our bodies: "Some of the cars that we sent were so contaminated they had as much bacteria as a public restroom."

Yuck.
